TJ Lopez is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who founded Athletic Movement Protocol in 2013. Coach TJ founded AMP with the goal of uniting the advanced and cutting edge training and support strategies used at the highest level of sport with the everyday athlete whether they have the goal of competing at the highest level or if they’re looking to improve their overall health and well-being.

Jon Caluori is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist working with Athletic Movement Protocol since Spring 2021.
Coach Jon played baseball, football and basketball for over 10 years and found coaching to be his passion. Growing up as an athlete structured Jon’s outlook to be goal driven. Jon spends his free time training and chasing his own goals while helping our athletes achieve theirs.
Jess joined the AMP team in March 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s in Sport Management from SUNY Brockport and has a background in softball and volleyball, which fostered her teamwork and discipline. Over the past decade, Jess has focused on weight training and personal growth. With experience in group fitness and personal training, she’s dedicated to helping others feel better and more confident every day.
Brandon Mercado, a Certified Functional Strength Coach, joined the AMP team in January 2023. A former Division 1 wrestler at LIU Post, he has a deep understanding of both the physical and mental sides of training. Passionate about helping youth athletes and older adults reach their goals, Brandon believes that positive energy and thoughtful feedback are key to great coaching.
Nicholas Rea, MS, CSCS, CFSC (Level 1 & 2)
Nicholas Rea is a strength and conditioning coach with experience training youth, high school, and collegiate athletes. He specializes in long-term athletic development, speed and agility enhancement, and injury prevention strategies designed to support sustainable athletic performance.
Nicholas earned his Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Sacred Heart University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds Level 1 and 2 certifications as a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) through Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning.
He currently serves as the Head of Sports Performance at Athletic Movement Protocol, where he designs and implements individualized training programs that prioritize performance, durability, and long-term athletic growth.
