TJ Lopez

TJ Lopez is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who founded Athletic Movement Protocol in 2013.  Coach TJ founded AMP with the goal of uniting the advanced and cutting edge training and support strategies used at the highest level of sport with the everyday athlete whether they have the goal of competing at the highest level or if they’re looking to improve their overall health and well-being.  

He believes that no matter what walk of life you’re from, training like an athlete will improve every aspect of your life.  

Coach TJ and the AMP team have trained countless high school and collegiate athletes throughout the years, as well as a number of professional athletes in a variety of sports.  

Coach TJ has been the personal trainer to Yankees CC Sabathia since 2010.   Lopez has worked with many other notable pro athletes such as MLB players Dellin Betances and Justin Dunn. 

He’s worked with NBA players Tobias Harris, Justin Wright-Foreman and Roderick Odom.  

Pro MMA Fighters, Glory Kickboxing’s Wayne Barrett and the UFC’s Lyman Good have also worked with Coach TJ.  

Coach Lopez  and the AMP team are highly dedicated to educating athletes and individuals on proper training techniques to improve their performance on and off the field. 

The AMP Team possesses unrivaled knowledge of nutrition and human physiology, and is able to teach and convey complex concepts so that they are easily understood by all of our athletes.

TJ is a Marist College graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine, Health and Biology and was a member of the Red Fox Football team.
